Alessi Michael Graves Stainless Steel Whistling Bird Kettle
The Alessi bird kettle, created by Michael Graves in 1985, has a funky personality and straightforward geometry. For Alessi, it represented a meeting of great design and mass production methods, a combination that Michael Graves worked hard to achieve, applying his personal visual code which fused influences from Art Deco to Pop Art and even the language of cartoons.
It heats up more quickly than other kettles because of its tapering stainless steel body and spout. When the water comes to a boil, the bird spout whistles joyously.
Fun fact: The Alessi Kettle with Bird Whistle has outsold every other product in Alessi’s history.
